Private Detective in Sandown

Sandown is a town with a population of around 12 thousand, located on the South-Eastern coast of the Isle of Wight. The town overlooks Sandown Bay, which is known for its superb sandy beaches. That's why Sandown is a popular holiday resort. There are lots of tourist attractions in Sandown and within a short distance from it: the Geology Museum, the 'Dinosaur Isle' interactive museum, the Isle of Wight Zoo, the Adgestone Vineyard, to name a few.

Sandown Pier also offers plenty of entertainment for the entire family: a play area for kids, an indoor 11- hole adventure golf course, bowling, an arcade, a bar, caf s, and much more. Sandown is surrounded by hills, cliffs, and woods with plenty of eye-catching flora and fauna. In the northern part of Sandown Bay there are reefs and a petrified forest on the sea bed, which you can see when the tide is very low.

By the way, it was on the Sandown beach where Lewis Carroll first met Gertrude Chataway, a 9-year-old girl, who later inspired his famous poem 'The Hunting of the Snark'. Sandown is constantly changing; old buildings are demolished to free space to build new ones. For example, the former Savoy Hotel, devastated by fire in 2011, was finally wiped out in 2015 and 19 flats will be soon built on the site.
