The civil parish of Tring, also a market town, is situated within the Borough of Dacorum, in Hertsfordshire, United Kingdom. On the south eastern side of the town lies London. London may be accessed from Tring by Akeman Street, via the A31 road, via train through the Euston Station, and by passing through the Grand Union Canal. Tring is also a commuter town, and it has officially become a market town in the year 1315.

Among the busiest parts of the town is the Tring High Street. The High Street has many specialist shops and historical establishments. Every Friday, there is a general market, and every two weeks, a farmers' market is held. A Baptist Church is situated on High Street. There is a well known auction house within the town of Tring as well. Tring is home to the Natural History Museum that was opened in the year 1889.

On the southern part of the town, situated close to the railway station, is the historic Pendley Manor. The manor is of Victorian architecture, which used to be a country house. It is now a grade II listed building, and is a hotel. It is also a centre for conferences and various functions. There are various local pubs within the area, some of them are The Black Horse Pub and the 16-century The Robin Hood Tring Pub.
