Private Detective in Ledbury

Ledbury is a magnificent market town situated in Herefordshire, England. In the Domesday Book of 1806, the town is referred to as Liedeberge. This town is very unique in that most of its houses or buildings are built using timber frames. Much of this can be seen along the famous Church lane and High street. The town's growth is owed much to some three famous clothing merchants, namely; Skyppe, Skynner and Elton. In the 1970s, the town expanded more as a result of increased agricultural activities in the area.

Unlike many towns in England, the beautiful and unique town of Ledbury is mostly made up of timber-framed structures. The town has several timber-framed buildings that existed from the medieval and Victorian times and still exist to date. The market house in the town centre is such a great example. Built in the 17thcentury, the market house is a magnificent historical gem structure built on stilts. It is considered to have been designed by a great architect known as John Abel. Another wonderful timber-framed structure is the Ledbury park.

Ledbury town council offers its guest and residents various amenities to make their life more fun and interesting. When you tour this lovely town, ensure you see the outstanding and historical St Michaels and At Angels Church. The church has a 13thcentury spire on top of its tower which is detached from the main church building. It has some Anglo-Saxon origins and a few Norman works too. One of the notable features of this historic church is the Funerary monument. What a breathtaking scene the Church depicts when viewed from church lane.
