The market town of Petersfield is located in Hampshire on the slopes of the South Downs within the South Downs National Park which makes it ideal for discovering the South Downs National Park. Petersfield Heath (a Site of Nature Conservation Interest) is located in the south-east part and includes a recreation area, pond and more than 20 Bronze Age barrows. The town also provides access to trails such as The Serpent Trail.

One of its places of interest is the statue of King William III (of Orange) that is located in Petersfield's market square. The statue is one of the few statues of King William III in the United Kingdom that is not located in Northern Ireland. Another place of interest is the Physic Garden. It is located in High Street and is open to the public.
