Private Detective in Emsworth

Situated in Hampshire, England lies Emsworth, a town initially referred to as a Saxon village. As a village it used to welcome many yachts and fishing boat and over the years it evolved greatly, became a very important spot, and was even allowed to organize its own market. In addition to this Emsworth was known for the many pubs and beer houses it had, however today only a few are left. On the last census the population was 2,000 people.

Through Emsworth flows a river, The River Ems, which was named after the town. In the past the river had a very important role as it was used to power the old tidal mill. The entire grain that was collected from the village, and later on the town, was grained in this mill. Unfortunately today the old tidal mill is no longer operational, at least not in that form as it is currently being used as an office area.

Emsworth also features a mill pond, or more precisely three of them. The millpond which is located on the west side of the town belongs to the Havant Borough Council, thus it is called the town's millpond whereas the other two are in private ownership. The town's millpond is maintained by the town and flushed out on monthly bases. Even though it doesn't have much natural vegetation, it is full of fish and many birds.
