Private Detective in Teddington

Teddington is an urban development situated on the north banks of river Thames. A long high street meanders through it with shops, clubs and other leisure premises. It has a suspension footbridge over the river and the town has no dual carriageways nor can you see any high rise buildings, it is a leisurely set town with a lot of business and houses built towards the end of the 20th century. It dates back to the Mesolithic, Neolithic and some evidence of Roman settlement has also been found.

Across river Thames is this amazing foot bridge called Teddington lock with a small island between the two bridges. Built in 1887 and 1889, the two bridges made of iron were built with funds from the local resident therefore replacing ferry. On the eastern side is an iron girder bridge with the western side a suspension bridge. Wooden ramps have been added in the recent years to the approach to the bridge and to the middle.

An attempt to build a very large church of St. Alban's was hit by a lack of funds hence the project being abandoned with only the nave being built. Its temporary walls were replaced by a permanent one in 1993 during the refurbishment hence its conversion to a landmark art center where exhibitions and concerts are held to date. A reformed protestant church was built in 1864 by a congregation that was dissatisfied with the way the Anglican church was being run at St. Mary therefore building the Christ Church now called Church road.
