Private Detective in Hazeleigh

Hazeleigh is a beautiful village situated in the county of Essex, England. The Hazeleigh village in conjunction with the adjacent village of Woodham Mortimer shares a joint parish council which sits down every month at Woodham Mortimer village hall to discuss matters. The village of Hazeleigh is very rural in nature and is widely characterized by farms and scattered buildings throughout the region with a small congested area. The village has a hall which is the centre of activities in the village.

The Hazeleigh village hall is the notable structure in the area and holds a broad history. The hall is believed to have been built around 1570. It is featured with timber frames, its roofing is made up of red clay tiles, 5 window range of triple sashes and a half glazed 4 panel door with gabled canopy on brackets, to just name a few. This great ancient architectural structure has hosted all most all major events of the village and still does so.

Though it is currently non-existent in the village, the St Nicholas church used to be the religious home of the Hazaleigh residents up to 1922 when it was completed destroyed. The small church was constructed around 1600 and at one time was dubbed as the meanest church in England due to its small size. It was built using lath and plaster over timber frames. In 1893, a new iron church was built and when it was beyond restoration, it was demolished. The bell of the church can be found today in Woodham Mortimer church.
