Private Detective in Chatham

Chatham, the administrative headquarters of Medway unitary authority, is a town in north Kent, located in South east England. The town is notably recognized for its prosperous tourist activities. In addition, Chatham has military connections as various Army barracks were located here, in conjunction with the 19thcentury forts which offered a defensive protection for the dockyard. For instance, the Brompton barracks, based in town is the headquarters of the Corps of Royal engineers. The town continues to attract tourists with its great coastline.

Typical of most towns in England, Chatham town has many medieval and ancient architectural buildings. One of such buildings is the magificent and lovely Catham old town hall building. After its completion in 1900, the Chatham town council announced that the town hall was the most expensive projects it undertook in the 19thcentury. Situated at the Brook, just at the bottom of Dock road and Whiffens Avenue, the town hall served various council departments and a chamber. Currently, it serves as a theatre and an art centre but still it's conspicuous in the town centre.

Depending on your area of interest when you visit the Chatham town, there are several things to view, study and learn. The Chatham naval memorial is one such place with a touching history. The naval memorial was built to commemorate the members of the Royal Navy who had no known grave after the First World War. The majority of the deaths happened at the sea where no permanent memorial could be given. The naval memorial is located on the top of a hill overlooking the town centre of Catham.
