In the county of Hertfordshire there is this town called Hertford, a civil parish with a population of 26,000 as at the 2011 census. It has been a county town since the Saxon times when it was governed by the King's reeves. The town council is based at Hertford Castle, a prominent landmark in the area. This church is a Local Ecumencial working together with the Methodist of Weald in Kent.
