Private Detective in Stalybridge

Stalybridge is a historical town situated in the Greater Manchester, England. The town was formerly known as Stavelegh, which was acquired from an old English name 'staef leah', meaning wood where the staves are obtained. In 1776 after the building of a cotton mill, Stalybridge became one of the foremost places of textile manufacturing during the industrial revolution era. The wealth made from the cotton industry changed the area from being a scattered lace to an urban centre which it is up-to-date.

One of the well-known areas of this town is the Victoria Bridge which and is based on Trinity Street which has several structures under conservation. This famous bridge played a major role at the booing time if this town. It is made up of wrought iron girder spans on a central rock-faced stone pier with some cast iron parapet walls. The walls are enscripted with some writing stating; "Henry Bayley Son and Co. Albion Iron Works Miles Platting". It is a beauty to see it.

This town has so much to offer than you can think of. As you stroll down the ancient streets of the town, you will come across several magnificent listed structures under conservation. We have the library on Trinity Street, old fire station, the congregational church on Trinity Street, but the most iconic of them all is the Stalybridge market hall now referred to as the town Civic hall. Located on Trinity Street, the Victoria market hall was opened in 1868 and currently serves the town in several ways such as; hosting meetings, functions, and concerts among other events.
