Private Detective in Tetbury

In the county of Gloucestershire is this small town called Tetbury lying on the site of the ancient hill fort where the Anglo-Saxon monastery was built in 681. In 2011 the town had a population of 5,472. It was a very important market for yarn and wool in the middle ages. Due to the centuries of wool activity, there is an annual woolsack race done in the town. The location of Tetbury is a landscape of gentle hills used as a farmland.

The town is a great sight with antique shops housing independent specialist food places, clothing shops, charity shops, banks, estate agents and some lifestyle clothing brands including Overider. In the town centre are restaurant, hotels and pubs and Tesco supermarket about a mile from the town centre. Accessing Tetbury is easy with the A433 with easy access to the M4 and M5. The A4135 from the town runs west to Beverston. The nearest railway station is situated at Kemble with airport being Bristol Airport as the closest.

The Market House is one of the notable buildings in the town built in 1655 and is a fine example of pillared market house. It is still in use today as a meeting and market place. Another place in town is the Tetbury hospital, a privately managed institution and has a minor injuries unit and gets funding from both the government and charity donations. Near the Tetbury industrial estate is the Tetbury Army cadet with the Air cadets being based within the grounds of Sir Williams Romney's school.
