Private Detective in Market Bosworth

Bosworth in Leicestershire is a market town and a civil parish. The market town has a population of 2,097 residents as from 2011 census. The town merged with Hinckley to form a district in 1874. The town has rich history dating back 8thcentury. Roman villa remains have been discovered in the east side of Barton road. From 12 May 1285, Bosworth became a town after King Edward I allowed a market day every Wednesday.

Among the town's two oldest buildings are the Red lion pub and St. Peter's Church. Both were built in the 14thcentury. The Bosworth Hall was built in the year 1629-1692. Sir Beaumont Dixie built the hall and later sold it in 1885 to settle his gambling debts. The town hall was sold in 1913 by Lady Agnes Tollemaches' daughter. The town's hall has now been reconstructed and refurbished to meet the modern standards.

Bosworth town has three schools in its vicinity. The three schools are Dixie Grammar School,The Market Bosworth School and Bosworth Primary and Junior School. The market opened in 1285 still exists with the market day taking place on Wednesday. Closer to the market are two cottages that link the family of Dixie to England and Scotland. The two cottages have been named Rose and Thistle Cottages. The cottages date back to 1640. Only one of the cottage, Rose Cottage, is a private resident.
