Private Detective in Whitstable

Less than 10 km from Canterbury, located on Kent's north coast, is the seaside town of Whitstable. It is twinned with five towns that include Dainville (located in France), Albertslund (located in Denmark) and Borken (located in Germany). The town boasts recreational amenities that include a council-owned swimming pool, an outdoor basketball court, a 10-pin bowling centre and a sports centre. The sports centre offers facilities for tennis, cricket, volleyball and badminton.

The town is well known for oysters and every year it hosts the Whitstable Oyster Festival. The economy of the town depends on tourism, its harbour and business parks (situated on the fringe of the town) that offer space to big retailers and light industries. Some of the town's educational amenities include a secondary school (The Community College of Whitstable), Whitstable Adult Education Centre and many primary schools that include Whitstable Junior School and Westmeads Infant School.

The beaches are vey popular for swimming, sunbathing and water sports such as windsurfing and kite surfing. The town's beaches (except Long Beach) are unique as they have no promenade and are as a result a bit quieter. Some of the other landmarks and attractions include its big village green at Duncan Down and various small alleys; a windfarm situated off the town's coast; and Island Wall (the street closest to the seafront). Several old buildings and pubs are found on Island Wall.
