Private Detective in Tenterden

Tenterden is an old town in Kent county with a rich history of the growth of churches and plenty of Victorian, Elizabethan and Georgian buildings. One of these is the town hall, a place worth visiting when in town. It has wonderful cycle and walk trails and the town is only 15 minutes drive from the historic Rye, and the magical Romney Marsh. The Kent and East Sussex railway has its home in this town taking you back in history.

Home to the Kent and Sussex railway, Tenderten railway station was originally operated by Colonel Stephens Railway and also the Southern Railways. It was the first station on this railway line and was opened in 1900 and after some changes was reopened in 1903 as Tenderten town station. Nearby the station is the Colonel Stephen museum showing a lot of history both for students of history and tourists alike. Even the abandoned coaches are a sight to behold as they rust away.

This stunning church of the medieval times has an imposing tower that cannot be missed on the town's skyline. Built in mostly in the 13th and 14th centuries, St. Mildred's has weathered the centuries to give a great ancient structure and great architecture today. The church is a place of events in addition to the tourist attraction it is. There are youth activities, halls for hire for weddings and other authorized events making the town lively almost every weekend.
