The town of Whitchurch, located in Hampshire, has many parts that are identified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest such as the River Test that flows through the town. As the town is situated at the junction of a few river valleys, it offers many cycle routes. Education is provided by the Whitchurch of England Primary School and the Testbourne Community School. The Testbourne Community School has approximately 760 students and enjoys performing arts specialist status.

One of its landmarks is the All Hallows Church that was presented to the St Cross Hospital in 1132 by Henry de Blois. Its older Saxon structure has been rebuilt several times and today it is a Grade II* listed building. It features a 500-ton spire, 3-manual pipe organ and a set of 10 bells. The town used to have two railway stations, but the one station, Whitchurch Town railway station, closed in 1960 for passengers. This station was rather big and had a water tower and water crane.

The town offers amenities such as playgrounds for children (situated at Park View, Kingsley Park, Alliston Way and Ceasar's Way), a BMX cycle track (located in Daniel Park), a local cricket ground and Longmeadow sports facility. Squash courts and a bowling facilities are provided by the Longmeadow sports facility. Some of the attractions are Hampshire Potato Day (held in January) and a yearly beer festival.
