The market town of Ramsbottom is situated in Greater Manchester on the River Irwell. Some the town's features like its Victorian architecture and the Pennine landscape help to fuel tourism.

One of its places of interest is the Dundee United Reformed Church. This church along with the other Anglican churches form part of the Ramsbottom & Edenfield Team Ministry. Other religious sites include the St Andrew's Church (the oldest church in the town), Ramsbottom Evangelical Church, Christ Church Baptist Methodist Church and Ramsbottom Pentecostal Church. Another place of interest is the Peel Monument that is situated on the Holcombe Moor. The tower is almost 40 metres tall and serves as a memorial to Sir Robert Peel.

Some of the town's other landmarks include Edward Allington's sculpture (located in the Market Place) and Nuttall Park.
