The town of Uxbridge is regarded as the London Borough of Hillingdon's administrative centre. It is located on the western portion of London, in Great Britain. The town is situated a little over 24 kilometres away from Charing Cross. Another historical structure in this town is the Crown and Treaty public house. This pub is said to be the place where Charles I of England and his rivals during the civil war in England has negotiated. Crown and Treaty pub is still doing business up to this day. This grade II listed buildind can be found on Oxford Road. Just like this pub, the Red Lion Hotel also has a distinctive spot in history as the King spent some hours resting in the hotel in 1646.
