Pinner is located in the London Borough of Harrow. It is a wealthy area and the River Pinn flows through the village. Some of its landmarks include the parish church of St John the Baptist (located at the junction of Church Lane and High Street) and East End Farm Cottage (the earliest private dwelling that still stands). Between 1923 and 1939 the village grew very quickly thanks to a number of garden estates.

Pinner has many Art Deco style homes. One such example is Elm Park Court (located at the junction of Elm Park Road and West End Lane) that is a Grade II listed building. Another Grade II listed building is Pinner House. In 1938 it has been put to use as an old people's home and is currently still used for that purpose. The area also boasts with a very low crime rate and prestigious single-sex schools.
