Private Detective in Penge

Penge is a very typical commuter suburb that is located in Greater London. It boasts with many Victorian almshouses such as The Queen Adelaide Almshouses, St John's Cottages and the Royal Watermen's Almshouses. The Royal Watermen's Almshouses is one of the suburb's main places of interest. It is the oldest almshouse and is Penge's most noticeable building. In 1973 the residents were relocated and the building was turned into private homes.

Another place of interest is Waterman's Square (located on Avington Grove). This small open space is next to the suburb's historic almshouses. Another open space is Betts Park (located on Anerley Road) that includes facilities such as an area for skateboarding and children to play. Some of its other landmarks are the Crystal Palace Transmitter (London's tallest structure until 1991) and its former police station that was thought to be the oldest working station in London before it closed in 2010.

Penge also offers various sport facilities such as Crystal Palace Park, Alexandra Recreation Ground, Royston Playing Fields, a municipal golf course and Penge Recreation Ground. Some of the religious sites include St John the Evangelist's Church (located on Beckenham Road) and Penge Congregational Church. The town has a primary school (St John's C.E. Primary School) and used to have a grammar school for boys, but the Beckenham and Penge County Grammar School relocated to Beckenham.
